Each ZIP-file contains one NG-file with the same name. An archive which contains programs for manipulations with NG-files, can contain more than one file.

The format "NG" is a very convenient form for the storing of information. At any time, you can get access to information thanks to resident programs. The information has a tree-like structure, and as well, the NG-file has cross references. (!Seealso).

Many programs have a help in the NG-format, for example: Volkov Commander, CDBF - DBF Viewer&Editor.

The NG-format is a simple format. You can make any NG-files yourself. You can find utilities for the creation of NG-files in the section "Programs".
